| If he is neutered, then no. It's not possible for her to get pregnant.

| His hormones are still messed up too, since it has only been a short time, since he was neutered. It took our boy a couple of weeks for him to adjust to his neutering. |

| It takes 6 months for hormones to leave their body. I'd check with your vet.

| Hi, I don't know about dogs but in horses I think a stallion can still get a mare pregnant 30 days after being neutered. Some semen is stored in the tubes that go from the testicles to the penis. I'd give a vet a call and double check. Whitney |

| I have to retract what I said earlier. I didn't realize that it had only been a week since he had been neutered. In that case, yes... it is possible. When they neuter, they remove the testicles. From my understanding, sperm is not stored there. It's stored in the vas deferens. So if (and he probably did) have some sperm there then it's possible for him to have bred her. I would definitely call the vet and have it checked out. It can take several weeks for it to be gone.

| i actually got used to the idea, and was gettin excited, expanding my family. then i was looking up all the things i needed to know and get ready for her to have pups and i was quite scared actually, off all the things that cud go wrong especially with such a little girl . i am soooo happy now that she is not its all scary stuff. and would never forgive myself if any harm came to her. i lost sleep worrying and trying to get as much knowlege about it. but now it will be over tomorro . i will keep ya posted |

| It is very relieving for you I'm sure to hear that she is not prego. Please keep in mind though, that even neutered dogs will try to mate on occasion. Even with them both being sterile, it is still extremely risky and potentially harmful for them to be allowed to tie without being supervised. Just because you ensure that no puppies will result in a tie, it does not mean that they are not still risking injury. |
