There are several possibilities as to what it could be. It could be her mucus plug, could be urine, or could be that her water broke. Does it have any color or odor?

If she was my dog, I would definitely be at the vet just for peace of mine. There have been so many losses of puppies and mamas that I would personally not take any chances. I would rather have that peace of mind instead of worrying.

They will start to pace and walk room to room. They start to dig in places looking for their spot. At this time I put them in the confined area. I also will then notice the contractions. The belly will get very hard. At first they are light but as labor progresses they will get a little strong and at that point my girls will get restless and look uncomfortable. At that point things will start to progress and the contractions will bring on pushing. Normally then the water sak will either present OR will break in the canal. Hope this helps. | |

I have noticed her walking in circles or pacing, no contractions yet, she just vomitted too. I have noticed her rambling through her blankets and the newspaper in her box but no digging yet.

Sounds like she is in labor. Did the discharge have any color to it? Did you go the vet?

I'm glad that everything checked out alright. I know what it's like to over react too. Last year, I had a female that had to have a c-section because she never had contractions. I tend to worry too much because of the bad experience. However, my Yorkie, Ellie had a natural birth with no complications. So, I guess it can go both ways.
