| Ears Help! Ruby is six months old. i had shave her ears from the first weeks i got her and then taped them and that got them standing until a couple of days ago. They were just fine for four and a half months , I got her at 8 weeks, and they just totally flopped down. I know she was teething a couple of weeks a go as i found teeth in my room but does this have anything to do with it or am I going to have to shave the whole ears again and retape them. I really don't want to as her coat is really prestine right now and she then would look acward but if I have no other choice I will doso because i don't like floppy ears. I love her regardless but I don't like how she looks like this at all. I must add i do bathe her every week and before bathing her I reshave the one third of the ear in and out and the edges. Well the whole nine yards so I know its not cut i don't shave them as they are always with the v-shape shave. Please help . Any suggestions will be appreciated. I looked at her teeth and it doesn't seems like she is dropping or missing any more although she hasn't dropped all the front ones and the new ones are already out. |

| Yep ! Yep ! Yep ! My dogs all have had this problem. It seems when they loose their baby teeth their ears drop. Try thining them, if not you probably have to shave and tape all over again. I did have to do that for Lily. Don't worry though, they'll go back up. It's normal.

| I thought Mr. Big was done teething and all of a sudden his ears dropped again. I think, I don't know at all, but I think they have a second time when it's like their wisdom teeth come in or something. It lasted about 4 weeks but it seemed like 4 months of cottage cheese, yogurt and rubbing his little ears. But I have noticed since then that when he doesn't seem to feel well one of his little ears will fall over. Sylvia |

| Teething can cause the ears to drop, but hopefully they will go back up after the teething stops. Just remember to keep the shaved. Good Luck

| I gave my guys some yogurt to help with teething problems and to help with the ears flopping. They got about a tablespoon every day till they were 1 years old. |
