| If there are any breeders on here right now, please help dmcclendon out . . Her Sadie is in the process of delivery now and the 2nd sac has presented, but isn't coming out . . .I'm not qualified and/or experienced enough to help out . . .just by what I've read . .. So, if someone can help her, please go to her post "should new pup nurse immediately?"

| I called her but I'm not sure she understood. the second baby is out and both still have the placentass attached. The second baby has a very short cord. i told her how to assist mama with getting it out. i think the problem is that mama is not having anymore contractions to push the placenta on out and I really think she should go ahead and take her pups and mama to the vet and let them birth the rest of them. |

| Thanks for doing that . . .I've been reading up and retaining things, I have yet to actually whelp a litter . . .and I was trying to help the best I can . I'm so glad you called. Is she going to the vet? I hope she isn't freaking out too bad . . .Seems to me like Sadie isn't up to a delivery tonight . . .

| She has got the two cords tied and cut and is now on the way to the vet with mama and babies. mama is not progressing at all and has quit. She has done everything she knows and everything we have told her to try to get the contractions started back so in order to save the other two babies she is headed to the vet. She is very upset and nervous and this has been going on all day. mama needs a shot of oxy and the breeder needs to be where the vet can safely deliver the rest of the babies. | not sure which thread to post on, but I just got off the phone with Deb and the 3rd pup was coming. I'm sure she'll post once she gets the baby taken care of.

| well, she was home when I called and as we were talking, she started to have her third pup. from the sounds of it, it seems like a normal whelp but she's just nervous about everything. had she packed up to go to the vet, her girl would have started delivering in the car which could have been really bad.

| I have had females welp on the way to the vets office. I have waited for hours for a puppy to be born, to finally give up and head to the vets office. The vet says that moving the female sometimes does that to them. It moves her around and the pups move and low and be hold out one pops. The vet and I are both relieved. |
