Not a breeeder never sold puppies before I recently rescued 3 yorkies from TNN to GA. the daddy yorkie has a great home with friends, the son Cody had a home and was returned DUMB PEOPLE, so he is back with us jsut gothim fixed today 1 1/2 yr old. The female the mom got pregnant in the transit here. She just delivered 4 precious puppies. I have a list of names of those who want one. I am not giving them away due to vet bills and most importantly so people just want a free dog! i want to be Strict who these puppies go to. The dogs had papers according to the person who picked them up for me but said the lady did not have then on hand... we never got them and it has been over 2 mos. so we wont ever get them. So they are considered not registered. What is a good price for non AKC Yorkies. but pure breed and they can see the dad and mom on site with appt. I have several weeks to be able to sell them but need more info. Even though i love them all!!!

There is a great article in the AKC Gazette about interviewing potential new family owners.

I am in the same situation as far as Non AKC registered puppies. My mentor suggested I tally up what I have spent for vet bills, food and my time and then split that cost by the number of puppies I have and charge that as the selling fee. I am not charging my time as the puppies are all going to our family or family friends. Here in Woodland I will pay 68.25 for the first puppys dew claw/tail dock and 28 for every puppy after the initial puppy. I will pay 29 for first set of shots. I paid 110 for the ultra sound and I will pay approximately 200 for vet visit and xrays depending on what xrays they take. This is not including any emergencies. I have a very happy supportive group of mommy and daddys to be so I am not worried about where they are going. I am worried about physically letting them go as I KNOW I will fall in love with each and everyone!

it depends on where you live. Around here, in kentucky and neighboring states, the going rate for a yorkie with no papers is about 200. or less.

for florida georgia area... you could easily recover your "losses" (although the joy of having puppies in your life ... are there really any losses ). About 500-650 per baby sounds about the lowest I would go.
