| I don't think it is sad. It sounds like a nice program to me for those that have mixed breeds. They will be able to compete in agility. I don't think it will mean more people will be breeding mixes because of that. If it can help educate more people about being responsible pet owners then I see nothing wrong with it. |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | It is not a registration program at all. No registration given nor any pedigree. The dogs are simply assigned a number so they may compete in AKC agility, rally, and obedience events.

I think that with the AKC though, they are requiring the dogs to be s/n? (Someone correct me if I'm wrong.) Last edited by BamaFan121s; 05-21-2009 at 09:49 AM. | |

| I believe that the mix breed participants have to be spayed/neutered. I think that this is a great program for families that cant afford a purebred dog or just dont want one. It should be great family week-end fun for dog lovers! Great for kids and educational also. Its something that kids can work hard at and be able to show their skills. These dogs will not be eligible to be registered like the alphabet soup registries do. And they cant compete in conformation as this is for breeding stock only.
