| Is there a problem I am not aware of? I have seen two posts from a new member asking for help. Her Yorkie is expecting and Oops litter and she is nervous for her baby. I don't understand why no one is offering a nice word of encouragement. Blancla, your baby will be fine and you will do great. I wish I could be of assistance to you but this is my first litter also.

| i think this website is great but me myself have noticed the same thing that some people are great and will lend out a helping hand and then at the same time you ask questions and only get one answer my little lady had pups 5 weeks ago and when she had them i had so much support and everyone was great, but i have asked questions and have never even recieved a response. well i wish this person good luck to! |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | I would say the "problem" is quite a few of the really experienced breeders are no longer posting on this site.

| I feel bad because I am not in a position to offer advice and I know how it feels to be new here.

| It's alright Thanks everyone for your kind words and thoughts. I know that Ellie will be just fine. I do believe that we are in the early stages of labor as of 7:30 this morning. Her temp dropped to 98.9 and she is nesting. She was shivering this morning, and had a contraction a while ago. She just growled and acted as if it were my fault. I told her that it was going to be alright. She doesn't want me to take her temp any more. I will give it a few hours before I do it again. She is in her box and doesn't want to come out so I am going to take that as a good sign. I know that you guys are thinking of me and I do appreciate it. I have the vet on stand by. They told me it could be anywhere from a few hours to late tonight. I am going to try to rest until this all gets kicked up a notch. This is my second litter but first for her. The reason why I am so nervous about this one, is because the first one ended in a C-Section. I will just keep my fingers crossed that this one goes normally. I will update as soon as I can, and thanks again for everyone looking out for me. |

| Just that you all know, I have been helping Lisa (Blancia) through private messages. Some people feel more comfortable asking questions and answering them through pm's. Sometimes if someone asks a questions and one answer is sufficient then others won't answer. It is true that many of the breeders have left the breeder forum. Lisa, I pray your girl does not need a c-section this time. She may be fooling you and she may not be ready to have the puppies yet. I worry since her actual due date is still a week off but like you said it is possible the male got to her sooner without you knowing it. I have had females string me along for many days and it can really get frustrating. sarahmarie22, how is your little lady? I had answered your post but you never updated with anymore information. I hope your babies are doing well. For us to be able to help others we need a lot more information sometimes that is being provided so that is why sometimes when someone posts we have to ask lots of questions. If we don't get replies back then it is not possible to give accurate advice. |

| BJH is helping me on pm's. I wish that breeders would post more in the forums. They have so much knowledge, and it would be great if we could all share our experiences and everyone get along. I have had some harsh replies, but then again, I take into context that you can't always get a true persons response by reading it. You can't put emotion into typing. |

I am willing to help anyone that pm's me and ask for advice. I will bend over double but I am NOT going to put myself out here and be attacked by some people that don't even breed but know all the answers. Feel free to pm me for help but BJH is as good help as you can get. Barbara is great!!!!! Last edited by Sugar's Mom; 02-24-2009 at 11:18 AM.

| I have noticed this sometimes and I want to say that BJH has repeatedly helped and responded to my questions too. I am thankful for the help BJH. I have most definitely picked up on negative comments at first and thankfully I have not seen some of these people around here lately. I asked a few questions that were completely ignored and instead I recieved comments about what THEY wanted to talk about, not even trying to stay on subject. I almost left as soon as I started here but gave it a bit more time and decided this place is still a good resource for the types of information I am seeking. Also I have certainly been reading your posts Blanca but I just don't have the experience to give you a educated solution, but still I wait to read the answers posted so I can learn too. I check in here a few times a day trying to learn more. I personnaly will try to at least comment more even if I am just showing support. I think just knowing people are out there is really comforting. I will check back in a few hours, I have to go do errands.... (just my opinion here, not trying to stir the pot) |

| When she starts to deliver I would not hesitate to come on here and ask questions that you may have. If you have someone that can type as you dictate that would be great! Don't give up!!! Even if her pregnancy was an oops or not she deserves to be helped! How many of us were oops and our mother got help! I wish you and your pup the best of luck with your whelping! |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | It makes me sad that alot of the experianced breeders left the "breeders" forum. I try to offer help whenever I can.....or at least my little experiance and knowledge that I have learned from the one litter I've had so far. I only don't post when I am not sure how to answer.....but I guess even in that instance it would be better to offer encouragement than nothing at all. I will try to do that at least from now on. So, blancla..........how are things progressing since this morning? I've been at work all day, but will watch for your news the rest of the evening. Good luck to you!

Well, to tell the truth, things are really really slow. I think she is stalling. The kids have came home and everyone is doing there thing, and she is just acting as if nothing is going on. I was able to get her to eat a little bit of chicken, but other than that nothing. This is the hardest part of labor......the waiting.
