| My vet has done all of my microchipping so far. However, I am going to start doing it myself. I just haven't found where I want to purchase my chips just yet.

| tattoos are cheaper!! I don't microchip I tatoo all of my puppies. when i switched Vets i took in 4 of my dogs and they had never meet me. they never checked to see if my dogs were micrchipped or not. what if I had stolen them? the tatto machine was only $20.00 and it came with a bottle of ink that has lasted for 3 years. it's not hard just put a number in the pups ear. I only do do 1 number and then I use a qtip to rub the ink on the ear then wait about 24-48 hours and give the puppy a bath. You can buy tatoo tool on line i don't remember where I bought mine but I like it. |

| I have had my vet microchip my female (my male came with his), but I was wondering where you ordered your microchipping supplies. I had found a website last year to buy a breeders kit, but since that day I have been unable to find it. I go through Dr. Fosters and Smith online for my vaccines, since my main vet lives in Denver and that is 4 hours away and I don't always have the chance to get down there. Any advice on where to go would be great.

I get mine from Revival Animal Health Products for Pet Professionals, Veterinarians and Pet Lovers and the chips are here avid microchips I use the AVID Friendchip SUDS. These are individually sterilized and you want to make sure to get the sterilized ones. You will also need the Tracker or Reader. Hope this helps. | |

| Thanks so much. That does help. I wanted something cheaper than going to my vets in Steamboat Springs, Co. They are so expensive to have your dog microchipped like $50 bucks without membership with the company. So I didn't want to spend a mini fortune to microchip my upcoming litters through them. Thank goodness my Aunt is a vet and she can help me learn where to place them correctly inbetween the shoulders.

♥ Catherine My Love ♥ Donating Member | Where to get microchips We get our microchips and pre-paid registrations from Microchip ID, Identification Systems for Animals They have great prices and are very quick with the delivery. We have our vet do all of the implanting - Yorkies are so small, I am afraid to do it. haha
