| Sometime they will have a low temperature if their blood sugar is low. You might want to give her a little Nutri-cal if you have any. Hopefully she will wait a few more days just to be safe. Please keep us posted. |

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | Well, longer is better i suppose, but I think that if the pups are born in the next day or so they should be okay. The temp drop combined with the lack of appetite sounds like the prelude to labor beginning, but I've also seen temps drop even lower. But it could be within the next 24 hours, so hope you're prepared. There's usually someone here for you for moral support & to help anyway we can, should you need it. Good luck, I'll be watching this thread for news. FYI, a little over a year ago, I had a female that had her pups exactly one week before we expected them; surprised us completely! But all four pups were fine and at very healthy weights.

| Its been a long day, but guess what came today????? yes babies. all doing well, mom is young but she is doing well. she is constantly cleaning and biting their umbilical cord that is left. she has a good supply of milk so that is good too. they have all nursed at least three times. three of them get on by themselves and the one i express some milk and put his lips on it and he does eventually lock on and he has nursed a couple times already also. two girls and two boys!!! the first girl was born at 12:25 and the last boy was born at 2:23 so she had them fairly fast and without problems! so here are their weights first girl 3.8oz second girl 3.7oz third boy 3.4oz fourth boy 3.9oz thank you everyone for everything. i am staying home tomarrow to help her with the puppies. she is doing good , only leaves them to pee. renae

| Congrats!! those are nice weights, and its great that everyone is doing so well. Glad you can be with her tomorrow. Hope someone can watch over them if you have to go back to work. I always worry about them being alone for any length of time when they are so young. Best wishes.
