| Grannygrumpspups.com/Need advice on this breeder! My brother just bought two little yorkies, a girl and boy, one was to be for me and I was going to pick it up in a few weeks when I was in town. He wasn't too well informed about what to look for as far as breeders go and ended up buying them from a lady whom he'd found through a website. She sold the pups at 7 weeks old (which after I'd talked to other breeders I found out to be way too young) and a week after having the puppies they were'nt feeling so well. The little boy (my future pup) got really sick, he took him to the vet and said he was in really bad shape, not eating, very weak, diarrhea. The pup had been dewormed and given his first vaccines. My brother took as best care as he could, feeding the pup and make sure he didn't get hypoglycemia but a few days later the puppy got worse suddenly and died. He didn't get taken back to the vet for an autopsy (my brother just buried him). The pups had a health guarantee for the fist 6 months to be replaced if they died and the breeder was notified and is looking for another pup but I'm afraid if we get another dog from this lady the same thing will happen. I didn't see her home but I know that she breeds other dogs as well and won't let people in to see the kennel because of the "risk of Parvo to the pups" (according to her website). I'm really upset that she let the puppies go so early and I don't know if I can trust this breeder, anyone got any advice? |

| I'm so sorry that your pup died, I would be uncomfortable getting another pup from this breeder also if I was you.....I'm no expert but just from visting this site I can see it is not a breeder I would ever go to....too many different breeds and mixed breeds.... She also has a huge loop hole to void her contract....You must purchase these... 16. In order for this agreement to stand, your new puppy must be given NUVet wafers (a supplement) daily. You may order by calling 1-800-474-7044. Your key code is 80440. These wafers must be given daily for the life of the dog or this guarantee is void. If you could get your money back I would and look elsewhere but I don't think that will happen....Good luck......

| I went back and read her contract and I must say I've never seen anything like it....She sure does have her rear covered on everything.....that last clause is a doozy!...... After looking at it in it's entirely I would never buy anything from her......The name of the place is quite fitting...... Sorry you got mixed up with this breeder.....

| I agree, her ass is covered in court. Which sucks.. She OBVIOUSLY knows what shes doing. Not in a good way though. She knows that something may be wrong with the dog and she wants to make sure she doesnt have to take responsibility. |

| Yes I was very uneasy about her as well, but my brother had already bought the puppies and signed her contract. We talked to her and she really isn't budging on giving us our money back, she said she's looking for a replacement (which is worse because now I don't know who she is getting it from). I don't trust this breeder at all and don't recommend her to anyone! |

| it seems by looking at her contract...she has had to deal with alot of puppy deaths as entertaining as it was to look at man in an old granny getup....it looks pretty fishy |

| I'm so sorry for your loss as it wasn't yours or your brother fault. I would look far and wide before I would get any dog from a granny unless I knew her personally. I'm not going into the details here but one ran an illegal mill about 35 miles from here. Oh my gosh... it was so horrible when they seized the dogs and she fled to CA to live with her very rich son. The local news caught up with her 5 yrs. later backing out of her son's drive and she still didn't feel she had done any wrong. They eventually pd. up and it was in the millions. Makes me so angry.

| well. I guess if you are stuck dealing with her again... make sure that the pup you get is older this time! Tell her that you will not take any puppy that is not at least 12 weeks old. (this is still young... but gives you a better chance of having a healthy little one) |

| Any breeder that would make you give Nuvet or the contract is void, is a total scam in my opinion. She gets a kick back for Nuvet once you put in that code to order. |

| We tried several times to try to get out of the contract but she won't budge, we did let her know that we wanted an older pup but she said it would take some time (she didn't give an exact time) for her to look for one. I also asked that if anything goes wrong with this next pup that she change the contract so I will get my refund instead of another puppy from her. I feel like I'm stuck to deal with her until we can get this sorted out. |

| No idea where or how she is "looking for a puppy" she did not specify to my brother so I actually tried emailing her to ask and if I could have the breeder's information if she was getting it from someone else. I let her know that I want to know who exactly is giving me this new puppy and info about the puppies parents. Haven't heard back from her yet so who knows. This feels exhausting not having any control about the situation though. |

| I just called them not knowing it was them and they said they have alot of puppies. I was asking about price and they said that they have some lower priced pups with hair loss and that it was getting taken care of.I asked how old the pups are and he said 8 weeks. I will NOT be getting my new friend from them lol. I called from an ad in the paper and remembered seeing this here about them so figured I would ask questions and let everyone know what was said By the way what is hair loss caused from? I just thought it was odd to go down a few hundred bucks on a dog that is supposedly ok but just has a small patch of hair gone...
