Tsa La Li---Breeder---any opinions? Hi everyone! I spoke with Glenda today and she told me that she has sold her dogs to many of you and I was wondering what you all have heard about her and her dogs and what you think or what was your experience. Thanks so much!

During the Pet Store Issue Thread (RE: Glenda Beavers) A couple of things came to light. I'll post the links here and you can read them. I have had no personal dealings with her. The first issue (Link below) was sent to me via a private message and with permission I'll post the link. It has to do with a puppy sold to a woman and upon the puppy arriving it was sick. It had congenetal Liver Shunt and some other issues. According the the foundation and the owner of the pup Glenda never responded to the people when they contacted her about the pup being sick. Again, I have no personal experience only what I've linked here. The second issue that was found was regarding a French Boston Terrier. He died at 20 months old and Glenda again never responded positively. I don't have that link anymore but it can be found on the pet store thread. That one you have to read awhile and then you'll find it. I'm not here to bash anyone. However, during this whole pet store issue some things came to light that I personally would feel uncomfortable about. Good Luck. Elaine Success Stories Pg 9

Positive About Tsa La Gi!!!! I would like to report my experience with Glenda Beavers and Tsa La Gi. I bought a precious female yorkie 3/31/08 from a breeder / broker in Houston - NOT TSA LA GI. We spent the first weekend that we had her in the emergency hospital trying to find out why she was lethargic, unresponsive and a very, very sick little girl. She ended up having giardia, coccidia and was having hypoglycemic episodes. The hospital gave us three options: 1) leave her there to try and stabilize her further ~ we had already spent $2500.00 on a puppy that we had only had 3 days, and they estimated another $3,000.-$4,000. 2) put her "down" or 3) the ultimate test...bring her home and try to keep her alive....I opted for #3, and got up with her every 2 hrs and syringe fed her baby food and she survived. The reason I tell this story is to let everyone know that after that episode, I did my homework before I bought another yorkie puppy in August. I did as much research and calling and referencing as I could. The same name kept popping up - Glenda Beavers and Tsa La Gi; after several phone conversations and emails with Glenda at Tsa La Gi, I knew she was who I would get my next puppy from. I got the most precious, healthy male you have ever seen on August 1, of this year. I had him shipped to Texas, and when I opened his crate he came bouncing out and has not stopped since. He has only had to go to the vet one time (other than shots) and it is because he ate part of a sock that came out when he went to the bathroom and I got scared! This puppy has the most wonderful personality and disposition of any I've ever seen. He was so easy to housebreak....he has brought such joy to our lives....so much so, that I bought my daughter a male from Glenda last month! This is her Christmas present from us. She is a third year medical student and I knew she would not have time for a dog that had problems or that was hard to train. This puppy, too, has a spectacular personality, is totally healthy, and is almost 100% housebroken in 3 weeks! To those that think and will say that this sounds like a "paid advertisement" - all you have to do is have one of Glenda's dogs, and I think you would feel the same. The report that was posted above is over 4 years old and is awful for that poor little guy, but I do think that was along time ago and the only complaint I have ever heard from anyone that has one of her Yorkies! I have no reason to tell you anything but the truth. I will never show or breed any of these dogs ~ I just wanted happy, healthy puppies and that is certainly what we have gotten with these last two! By the way ~ I still have my darling little girl and would not trade her for the world, but she is very fragile and has to be hand fed twice a day, and is still under 3 lbs. We are not inexperienced dog owners; we have imported several titled dogs from Germany and I grew up in an animal household - my father was a vet. I hope I have helped with your original question! Good luck with whatever decision you make....but from personal experience, I don't think you would be disappointed with one of her beautiful, happy, healthy puppies!

I would suggest what a few others have here, which is to go to the breeder review section and look under the most recently closed threads...a lot has come to light, no matter how sugar coated it is.

This poster has made several threads about GB and other breeders. I believe she has now found one to buy from.
