| Hi,yes I have imported yorkies from other countries (show dogs) and have been very pleased with my babies I guess it all depends with who you do business with.A serious breeder wil never let you down.

| I would be careful of who you choose to import dogs from. We have imported several from several different breeders and if you have any issues, most of the time you would not have any recourse should you not be happy with your dog and if the breeder would be willing to replace a dog should you not be happy, you are looking at a big expense in shipping/travel fees.

I ♥ Joey & Ralphie! Donating Member | I've read some really bad things about imported "puppies." Buying a dog from a breeder is one thing, but buying imported puppies is another. China is fast becoming one of the largest breeders of dogs, and the restrictions on how the dogs are shipped are very lax. We have a terrible puppy mill problem in this country, and it worries me what other countries might be like.

| Ours were from show homes abroad..and still you have to be very careful. It is scary to send money abroad and not really know who you are sending it to and it can be intercepted, trust me we know all about that. We were very fortunate that our funds were finally recovered but it took a year to get the money back. And it was not the breeder that did this it was an internal problem with the way the money was sent, apparently someone who worked in a company that handled the money took it. So think long and hard before thinking of importing.

| If I can't see the puppy/dog before purchasing in person and I can't get it without it traveling in cabin I won't purchase it and actually will not ship any of my puppies in the US or out of the country. JMHO Donna Bird Brooklynn's Yorkshire Terriers |

| A freind of mine got a pair of Biewers a few years ago from Germany. She did tons of research.... Anyways, she was/is very happy. They are both beautiful and everything went great. She has since bred them and they are awsome! Are you gonna get another???

| I imported my puppies all 3 from the States...as I live in Canada and found my breeder in the US... Happy with all my pups however was told that one would be a smaller dog however he is average size. The other two are as they were described...two seperate breeders I ordered from... | tjd mom, I checked the site your mentioned and the dogs were very nice indeed. They had some LBV in that pedigree which I like the looks of too. Did your friend go get her dogs? I can;t imagine spending that type money and not getting on a plane and picking them up, so you could be sure they were sound, etc |

| I just imported a female from Hungary and she is everything I expected and wanted so far. But I tomorrow will only be 1 week. She is ALOT lighter in colour than I thought. However I am o.k. with that. She has great conformation which I was mostly looking for. However she is sick. She has cossidiosis. It is a common parasite. Most dogs have it. But she has to be kept away from my other dogs. I always quarentine any new dogs coming in my house for that purpose. The Breeder was great and answered my millions of questions and did everything she was suppose to. Good luck on your journey finding your new Yorkie! |
