| The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America Hello I am interested in joining The Yorkshire Terrier Club of America, are any of you already a club member? One of the requirement is 2 sponsors from the current members, anyone know how to find sponsors? Any advise will be appreciated! Thank you!

Yes, you must have 2 sponsors (members in good standing). Both must have known you on a personal basis for at least 2 years....one, must have visted your home. Sponsoring some one is a very big responsibility. Most often a sponsor will approach a person to become a member rather than the other way around (in other words an invitation).....Club Code of Ethics and Conduct are very strict......An application is then filled out by the prospective member and the 2 sponsors and forwarded to the membership committee....published in the Membership Quarterly news. This is done so that the membership either approves or disapproves the prospective new member......A long process and not so easy.
