| Puppy Watch??? Hey everyone, I know I haven't been on for a while but I have a question...My Shayley went into her second heat since she had her pups in the middle/end of July and I can not find my record book for the exact dates and I am freaking out because she is ready to pop and every night for the past three nights she seems to be going into hard labor, digging, contractions, a little panting and at about 3:00am it all stops??? By the due date chart she would be overdue but if I remember correctly her heat cycle finished in the beginning of Aug. Any advice? Has this happened to anyone, its never happened yo me. I guess I should add that her milk came in about Tues morning and I could feel the pups really move for the first time about a week ago. Thanks for any help/advice...and sorry for the rant ~Adina

| Start taking her temperature at the same time twice a day, when it drop by 1 degree she should start the labor in the next 12-24 hours. good luck |

| I know this but have any of you had any litters you considered "overdue"? If yes, how long did you let it go?

| i let one go to 68 days once and she had them naturally that day. I just figured I might have gotten my dates mixed up. A vet check might be a good idea for Shayley since she is acting this way. Good luck with your whelping. |

YT 1000 Club Member | I think the latest is 72 days. Most books have several days leniency because we don't always know exactly when Ovulation occured. But If I were you I would take her into the vet on Monday and see if there is a problem.
