| ok a little bit of a rant here..LOL ok so some of you know we had a litter of 7 yorkies and i was calling around this morning on tail docking and dew claw removal...cause i cant bring myself to do it yet last year a friend here on yt recommend her vet and i was really happy with them and the price but they are a good 45-60 minutes away from me so i thought i would call around here is some of the converstations how many dew claws? we charge by the claw....WTH there are 7 blk and tan puppies that all look a like i cant keep up and some of them have more than 1..LOL i could be paying for 20 claws...lol $50-60 a puppy for tail docking and dew claw removal plus exam...so 400-500.00!! OMG $500.??? and the last one...i asked for the price and she came back 5 minutes later and says who is your regular vet? i said i check around for price but there are 3 main places i got to and named then, who does your vaccines? i do..where do you get the vaccines...excuse me but what do these questions have to do with me getting a price on tail docking? and she says the dr is way to busy to help me..WTH???? that was the rudest vets office i have ever talked except for the one i worked for, for 2 months. lol im very tempted to say something..call them back or write a letter so i think im driving the hour to the people i used last time..i think its worth it! sorry guys thansk for letting me vent a little |

Donating YT 10K Club Member | You may find you receive a better price on the dew claws and tails...from the vet who provides your regular veterniary care. Dew claws are located on their front legs....assuming they each have one claw apiece...that's 14 dew claws.

| Boy, I'm glad I don't live in your area. We are located in southern Ohio. My vet does my puppies dew claws and tails for 9.00 per puppy. And no office call. But we are in rural area. And vet is great. |

I can't believe what vets charge for tail docking. The last time I had it done by a vet they charged $10 for the first pup and $5 each for the remaining pups but that was about 10 years ago. I am glad I do my own now. | |

| I did mine today but when I was getting them done they always charged for an office visit plus per puppy. It could get quite expensive.
