♥My Lil' Monkey Girl♥ Donating Member | Help.... Im not sure Okay so it has been almost 8 weeks (8 weeks this Friday) that Peyton Savannah has had her puppies. She just went the bathroom and there was what looks like blood in it. (Not a lot just a drops worth) Is it to early for her to go into heat again? Or can they go this early after having puppies??? Please help if you can. Thanks in advance!

| Yes, it is too early. A new female mommy will have a discharge for quite some time after having puppies. Some longer than others.

| Yes, it can be very normal. Just watch for any signs of infection. |

| Our female has had 3 litters and this last litter she did the same thing, at about 6 & 8 weeks. It is normal. The only thing as another posted, this can also be a sign of infection which is called pyometria. She will have a thick discharge sometimes pink or orangish color. It will have an odor and she will run a high temp. Their abdomen can be distended, loss of appetite and be slightly depressed.. As long as she's not experiencing these symptoms your in the clear. Not trying to scare you, just letting you know what is NOT normal....

Yeah she seems fine..... she is eating playing with her puppies and everything just had a little blood in her pee spot. But no discharge or odor. And the blood spot was a bright dark red.....looked like blood nothing else. LOL if that makes any sense.
