| Help, I'm starting to get Concerned After reading some of the threads on signs that a Yorkie is pregnate, I am starting to worry about my Tenci. She turned 1 yr old in July, She had her first heat cycle ever beginning in July. I have two males who at the time were not neutered. One was 9 months old, the other was 6 months old. I kept them totally separate, except for potty breaks which was always supervised. I did not see her do any of the flagging things at all, but she did get more affectionate. I did notice things swelling, then on August 4th I had my guys neutered. I kept them away from her a couple of weeks after that. I thought she was fine, but the swelling has not went completely down. Her little boobies are still stuck out and hard. She doesn't appear to be gaining weight, but she is still acting more affectionate. Could my little baby be completely? I could not imagine how this could have happened. How can I know for sure???

| Canine pregnancy lasts for 63 days after ovualtion. Since your gal was in heat around the first of July she would have already had pups or be about to whelp at this time. Sometimes a gal will have a false pregnancy with her first heat and often will stay swollen due to the hormonal changes. I'm sure your little gal will be safe, her body is just adjusting to it's new maturity.
