| A Little Nervous This Time I have two yorkies one is almost three and has had two litters. Other then having to help her the first time, she was fine. Her normal weight is 8 lbs. Her name is Spirit. The other one is only 4.5 normal weight, Princess. I am worried because they are not acting the same. Spirit still had energy and ate non stop. Princess is very picky and will only eat certain things. She also is on me non stop, which is a little strange to me since she is my daughters dog. Doesn't run around anymore just lays around. Spirit's normal weight is 8 but Princess normal weight is just 4.5. Also I am a little worried that she was got 6 times at the breeders. I know that Spirit wouldn't allow but one time. Does this mean that she will have more puppies and could have more trouble? The only trouble Spirit had was she had to go in for a shot because on her second litter she got too tired to push to get the other three out. I guess I would like to know if her weight is going to be a problem, since she is a smaller dog. Her due date is around the 27th of Feb. Also Spirit is really playing rought with her and I always have to stop it. Could she be jealous? If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it. | Hi Skye, When some of my females are close to due they become very needy, others never change accept for a bit of laziness. I would worry a bit too with your one female being bred so many times, my one female was bred 4 times and she got huge! She had 6 puppies one didnt make it and another I am having to pay special attention too because she is sooooo little and cant fight to eat. When your dog goes into labor,Once she starts pushing I wouldnt let her go anymore then max 2 hours without calling a vet. I feel for you because I have an almost 5 lb dog having her first litter in a few days and Im really nervous about a c section. I think its just based on the individual dog........I know I will certainly give my CHada a chance to have her babies on her own.......because once a c sec always a c sec. I think your dog is playing rough because she is moddy and pregnant! Two of my females show alot of aggression with pregnancy and will attack other dogs if they bother them....... Good luck to you let us know how it goes!!! |

| Our Chuhga weighs 5.5 lbs normally and she had three babies Jan 8th. She got really close to me. All the time. Very needy on loving/petting. She did come through the labor fine. I was a wreck. She was hurting so much I felt so bad for her. The daddy is 4.5 lbs so he wasn't bigger than she was either. |
