| today? My little girl stopped eating last night. Had a temp of 97.4 this morning. Has been digging and trying to stay under my bed. I keep putting her in her whelping box...I'm guessing this is it. Today is day 61. I have not seen any water nor felt any contractions.... Any words from the wise would be welcome! Oh and on top of that my hot water heater caught fire this morning (have smoke in the utility room), the a/c clogged up and flooded the garage, a cat 4 storm is headed for Florida and the house is in turmoil! Now if that is not enough to keep my adrenaline going today! sigh

| I will certainly keep you in my prayers. Good luck with the whelping. The best thing to do is just try to relax with your little momma. When mine are in the early stages of labor I do not try to force them to stay in their box, it just won't work. I will usually just sit on the bed with them and watch them close. Sometimes they will want down to walk around a little. I won't let them out of my sight. Once the hard contractions start and I see the bulge then I put them in the whelping basket. |

| for sure well she is panting, restless, digging, scratching and won't let me out of her sight. she keeps licking me...what's that about? she will only drink water if I wet my finger. meanwhile I have a plumber here installing a new water heater so right now there is no running water...I do havev several bottled gallons though. what a day!

| We did it!!!! We have two babies! First baby, male, arrived at 5:35 pm weighing .3 3/8 lb Second baby, female, arrived at 6:23 pm weighing .3 5/8 lb Both were breech, both needed assistance with delivery. But all is well now. Mama is content, babies are nursing and this lady (me) is pooped! I am sipping on my coffee and reporting back to my dear YT friends. You have all been amazing!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | CONGRATULATIONS on your beautiful new little babies! I am so glad that all went well. Yes, sit back now and sip that coffee (or whatever) and just watch as the new mama tends to her new family. It is such an awesome sight!
