| Not Pregnant! This would have been Daisy's third litter. She is a pro momma! She and our male tied multiple times and we were sure that she would be pregnant. But I took her to the Vet to have an ulta sound and he said, NO PUPPIES! I am stunned. The last two times it took only about once for her to become pregnant. Now I am a little worried. Any body know why she might not have gotten pregnant. |

| There could be many factors. Some females just miss sometimes. It could be that she ovalated early or late in her cycle and you just missed her. What days of her heat cycle did you breed her on? Another possibility is that she did get pregnant but something may have happened early in her pregnancy that caused her to reabsorb the pups. There are critical periods during the pregnancy and if she underwent some stress during those periods then she could have reabsorbed her pups. Sometimes we just never know. How old is your female? Over the years I have had some misses and the female would later conceive. I had one female that had a couple of litters and then she would never get pregnant again after that. She was a very active yorkie, always jumping around and I often wondered if that had anything to do with it. Some females just have reproduction problems like us humans. Try not to worry too much. Maybe next time you will be successful. What day of her pregnancy did you have the ultra sound done? Last edited by bjh; 08-03-2008 at 10:07 AM. |
