♥My Lil' Monkey Girl♥ Donating Member | Need Help Okay question for ALL My baby girl Peyton is due on July 20th (this is going from her first breeding) If this is when she is due this makes today her 52 days in. Today I got home from my vacation and got her from the sitter (my Aunt) and she is so huge now she just popped pretty much over night from what she said. Its been about 4 or 5 days since she "popped". Anyway. I think i saw one of the puppies moved. Sooo exciting. We also checked her teats and we saw that she is expressing milk. (Not alot or anything.... It seems as though it is just beginning. Only one is producing very little and the rest nothing yet. When does the milk come in? How long before labour? When is it safe for them to deliver? (Without it being early...I dont want her to go early as i dont want premies.) Please if anyone can help answer these please help!! |

| Bless your heart, I think we all get very concern when the time is near. We only want nothing but the best for our little ones. I don't know when the milk is suppost to come in. Doo Doo had her litter and her milk still wasn't in, I had to put one of the pupps on her and get him started. Then the milk started to come in. I hope this helps or makes sense to you. |

| milk etc The milk can come in a week to 10 days or more before she has the pups. Its good that she is getting the milk, at least you know she'll be ready to nurse when the time comes. You don't want them to be born earlier than day 58- and up to day 63 is even better. Duncanmom |

| I agree. When Suki had her first litter I was the one that was a reck not her. I read all the books that I can about her pregnancy. I agree that the milk drops about 10 days before birth. Funny thing about suki's 1st litter I was watching her temperature to see when it dropped, Which means labor, But I took her temp at 12 midnight and it did not drop at all. I went to bed, She was fine (her bed was my walk in closet) I woke up the next day to 4 gorgeous babies, She had the puppies that night and cleaned everything up and was waiting for me to show how proud she was. So nature gives them the ability to have their babies without our help, BUT our love and concern gives us the need to help out. Good luck on your soon to be a new mommy. you'll do fine and so will she. |
