Feeding Suggestions Needed! Annie Belle is a little over 4 weeks preg with her first litter (this hasn't been confirmed, but I am treating her as if). She has been vomiting yellow stuff and is not interested in the puppy food I have given her (Nutro Max). I have that in the free feed area, but she is not touching it anymore. I have fixed her eggs and given her boiled chicken which she will take, however, I am concerned that she is not getting the nutrition she needs to be a healthy mom. Does anyone have any recipes that are suitable for pregnant yorkies? Thanks in advance for your help...this place is a godsend!

feeding with pregnant mom Hi- Sounds like she is pregnant. With my girls, if they start vomiting at about 3-4 weeks, its usually a good sign they are pregnant like morning sickness to them. Feed her a few smaller meals during the day. She will come around, but her stomach is upset at the moment. Let her have chicken or whatever she'll eat that is good for her. Is she on a good vitamin? Its about time to switch her dry/canned over to puppy formula, that will give her more nutrients etc for her babies. She's going to be fine. Duncanmom

Thanks Duncanmom, I started her on puppy formula at the beginning of her heat cycle. She would take it fine, but I guess she is being finicky right now...I remember going through that with my pregnancies. Thanks for your reassurance! Tammy
