| Getting them to eat sometimes is tough...I think that some girls have trouble with their tummies not feeling so good...nausea...When they are like this they relate eating to feeling bad... She of course needs to eat...probably many small meals a day...I boil chicken in water until it falls off of the bones and is really well cooked...I debone it, shred it and then pour the strained broth over it...I offer it over dry food or alone whichever they will eat... We sometimes go through many things before we find something they do well on...As a last resort we syringe feed a high calorie canned food! Good luck with your girl and hope you have a nice litter of puppies in a few weeks!

| I have tried chicken, baby canned food, beef, science diet canned food mac and cheese, eggs, cheese, etx.and nothing works. This is her second litter and in her first everything went smoothly. In my country we only have science diet canned food and Alpo. so it is really hard to experiment since we do not have many choices. She doesn't mind me giving her the food with the spoon but since I am going on a trip sunday I need to get her to eat on her own.

| I have an extremly picky eater. I now make my own dog food for my dogs. I ground 1lb beef, make 2 packages of plain oatmeal, steam a mixed bag of frozen brocolli and coliflower and also steam a bag of fresh baby carrots. I mix all that together. It makes a big batch. I will freeze some until I need it. For my 2 Yorkies it usually lasts a week. I will mix my home made food with some dry food when I am ready to feed them. Since I started feeding this to them I noticed a huge difference in their coat. Their coats have never been so shiny! They LOVE this dog food |
