| She wont leave the Pups??? Hi all out there in the USA!! Emailing from MANCHESTER,UK. Just to let you all know Anmaco Black Pearl Maisey gave birth to 7 pups today!!! All safe and sound and mum did extremely well, considering iwas not around (emergency at work) and it was her first litter!!!! She is doing well and the pups are suckling etc. Problem is, she dont leave them to go to toilet. Ive put some paper done near her bed, she has had some chicken, and a bowl of Lactol. My other girls, dive to go out to toilet so im surprised she does not want to go. Shall i just leave her and she will let me know when she wants to go out, or should i take her out??? NOT SURE WATS BEST? Picture of Proud parents (Maisey on the left with Buddy) Ann-Marie |

| My Ashlee was the same way. I carried her out several times a day for the first week and then she would ask to go out. Probably just means she's a good mom. |

| Wow what a nice litter for her first one. Sounds like she is a good mom but would think she would need to get outside for awhile. Guess she just wants to look after them.

Im getting quite worried as ive taken her out of her bed to go outside and she just runs straight back to the pups. Ive put newspaper down near her bed and she has had a wee but still no poo???? | Id just take her out till she done something, I know she will want to be with the pups, but its going to start overwhelming her soon. After the pups next feed take her out. She might be more content knowing they all have full tummies. Make sure the pups are warm with a heat pad if you can, that way she can be away a little longer. If she does somethign give her lots of praise. Then let her in. Maybe then she will relate pooping to getting back in to her brood. If all else fails, she will do it when she needs to bad enough. If its indoors then I guess its just something you will have to deal with. Better an over caring mother than a non caring one!! This is just my idea though, as i've never had this happen. Maybe more experienced breeders can give you a better hand. My girl gave birth on Sunday, but only to one wee boy. Since it obviously takes her a lot less time to look after him she sometimes wanders out. But when I take her to potty she just goes out, does the deed and runs back to see little Alfie. Wising you the best of luck with your huge litter! You'll have your hands full soon

| She probably is not ready to go poo...They do clean their intestinal tracts out before delivery and go off of food...It may take a couple of days of eating before she needs to have a bowel movement... She should have to piddle and mine will usually use their piddle pads that are close by and hurry back to their whelping box...
