Hey Genie - sounds like she finally got to the point where her stomach looks HUGE! I think that was last week for me - and I think Lola is only a week behind Chloe, so it makes sense. Chloe looks bigger and bigger by the day. My plan is to take Day 49 pics and post (I posted day 42 last week).

Okay, here are some more pictures of my girl Cookie. she is now on day 47 today 9-21-08. She doesn't look that big to me I was hoping for 3-5 puppies (I love having lots of babies to play with) but I think I am only going to have 1-2.

What do you think?

Are you sure you remember her tie date? She looks preggy to me but you are right maybe she's having 1-2 pups. Get her xray within a week or so ,so you can be sure.

Yes, I am sure about her tie dates, I was there everytime they bred. She bred on May the 4th-5th-6th, and I write it down evertime so I don't forget. So she is on day 47 today. She has about 2 1/2 weeks left, but I think we are only getting 1-2 babies this time!!!

But I am REALLY excited!!!

I know how excited you must be! I was not happy at first because this was not planned.Plus I was in denial for a long time too. Now that I have done tons of reading and bought whelping books I am more calm and yes now even excited

Congrats on your girl's upcoming litter !

i find out July 1st . She gets her Xray done then. She'll be about 51 days by then...
I really want to know becaus her belly is getting bigger like every 2-3 days I see it bigger now.

I'll bet from the pictures she has 4 babies in there!! She is due about the same time as my Cookie right? Cookie is due on July 8-10. What breed is she? She is really cute but she is white so I did not think she was a yorkie!

She's a Maltese ,the dad is a Yorkie. That's why I mentioned earlier that I was not thrilled about this but I was not going to abort it as some suggested.
By the way it was nobody from here.

I am going to let her hair grow out long.I just have to groom her way more often

Oh, I thought she looked like a Maltese, she is really pretty her hair looks so silky! I would NOT abort my babies either. I love animals way to much to just do away with them like that, I would just keep them all before I would have them aborted! I bet the babies will be adorable! I will keep checking this thread, so pleae keep us updated! I am excited for you now!!!

Hi all,

So excited to hear about all the pregnant pups! Chloe has been extremely picky - so I have been making her eggs and chicken. She eats eggs in the morning and chicken at night. During the day I leave out her dry food which she never eats. She has refused all wet food except for Iams (sp?) Chicken flavored stuff. She is getting huge!

Oh, crazy question: how many nipples do your girls have? Chloe has 9 - so either she is missing one, or has an extra!!

My grandmother passed away yesterday, so I am trying to figure out if I can take her to her scheduled Xray - I might try to change it to Wednesday instead of Friday. Wednesday will be day 50 for her - or so I believe.

So sorry to hear about your grandmother.

Chloe and Lola seem to be doing the same.Her mammary glands are swelling a lot ,just overnight .Her belly is spreading a lot sideways.She still eats her dryfood but I put wet food (Eukanuba) she won't eat as much of that. So since she's going into the beginning of her 7th week I started adding a little bit of boiled chicken and she is loving that. Ifeed her twice a day.I think I really have to get another gated playpen area SOON just for herself .I have her with our two other yorkies and they are doing great but she is much more tired now and I dont want them bother her at all.
She sleeps in the family room for now . That is about 40 feet away so that is way too far. I have a huge bathroom in my bedroom so I think I'm going to set up a playpen with her whelping box and just leave the door open ,I can see her perfectly if I leave the bathroom door open. I bring her to our bed everynight but I'm afraid to fall asleep with her because my bed is 32" inches off the ground!

Thank you Genie. I rescheduled her appt for Thursday at 5:30. I hope the funeral stuff is all done by then! I am sure it will be.
