Wow July 7th! That is right around the corner!
I am going to the Pharmacy today and get the rest of the things on my whelp list Ky Jelly,iodine,Scissors,Syringe and Nutrical at PetCo. I have all the supplies set up in a big Rubbermaid box next to her whelp box.She's due July 12 . My biggest challenge now is getting her to eat enough.
I know when the puppies arrive I will get no sleep at all and that's a whole other story lol

I think today might be the day for Lily. Her temperature this morning was 97.8*! I have been having her sleep in her kennel right beside my bed at night. Last night I fell asleep with my flashlight in hand with my finger on the clicker(on/off switch!

) Other than digging a little to make a bed(nesting) she settled down and we both had a great nights sleep.

This is the darker discharge that Lola has been having for the past several days now. I know a clear discharge is normal from 4 weeks till the end.But now it's darker. It doesnt smell like anything.But it gets sooo stuck on her that it's really hard to get it off!
Her vulva is starting to swell again a little bit more and her breast are more swollen for sure. The milk glands are really puffy .This is day 49 since her 1st tie. I know others have mentioned that she could have ovulated a week before but I didnt witness a tie then. But you never know.

Wow

that belly is really getting BIG! My girl has been draining like that for the past 2 weeks it is so hard to get off. Her milk has already came in, it has been in for about 3 days now and she is not due until around the 5-8th of July!!

Lily is doing wonderful. She is still expecting pups and I am READY! Lily has not had any discharge at all. I hear of some dogs having discharge prior to going into labor. Her milk came in yesterday too. Just waiting for the pups!

Lola has not eaten anything since lastnight. I started a seperate thread but have gotten no replies . What else can I try giving her? I've changed her food several times because she's been picky as I expected her to be. Today she didnt go near the chicken,rice,puppy food,even a piece of hotdog! I tried some peanut Butter on the tip of my finger and she refused. I tried Nutrical and I had to stick it in the roof of her mouth.She hasnt wanted water either.so I've been giving her water in a syringe today. She doesnt seem weak at all ,she just wants to be on my lap. I put her in the bathroom with the door open and gate at the door but she just stands at the gate and peeks through the holes just staring at me until I come to get her!

Lily went through that too. From Friday late afternoon until Saturday late morning she did not eat or drink anything. She did take the Nutrical from me though. I thought for sure that was a sign she would be having these pups. Day 63 from her first tie was yesterday. Well, she has been eating since then. I would continue giving her the water by the syringe and Nutrical as you are if she isn't wanting to eat on her own. Do you take her in for an x-ray tomorrow? I hope that your Lola is eating some by now. Please let me know.

Since my first thread today about her not eating I have good news! She ate twice today! I was thanking God for a while! lol She ate about 1.25 cup of food today which is a record for her. Plus I managed to tempt her with 1/2 tsp peanut butter. She didnt want any this afternoon but I showed her my other dog licking off my finger and then she got curious too and licked off the rest from the teaspoon. That got her hungry and she ate the rest of the food in her bowl. I'm just taking thisone day at a time! Today was a victory ! She drank half her bowl of water and I filled it up again for later .

I cant wait until tomorrow! I will post. Im gonna beg for a copy of the Xray!

I am so glad to hear this good news! That is what my Lily did too! She has been eating so well that I am wondering if she is going to ever start her labor!

i think its one because she is so much smaller than last time..
hopefully a pair of kickers..
