Sparkles first litter We decided to breed Sparkles this heat and we had a little bit of a hard time getting them to tie. The first time we were out there the 20th of April the boy got in her but tied on the outside of her. The second time we went the 21st of April, they tied for approx. 10minutes. When we went out the third time to try again she wanted nothing to do with it. I was wondering if there is a way to tell if she is pregnant now besides a x-ray. I was hoping to wait till a little closer to the end to have the x-ray, but would really like to know if she is pregnant. She has not had any morning sickness or loss of appetite. She doesn't seem to have put on any weight either. She has been very lazy lately. Just hoping for any advice. The vet told me the only thing they could do was x-ray her. Thanks, Amanda

It has been 6 weeks since your bred her, if she is pregnant then I would think she would be starting to show. Is her vulva still swollen? Is her belly getting pudgy? I know you are anxious but I would not recommend an x-ray this early.

Just Not Sure I can not really tell any differences in her since the breeding. I don't want to do an x-ray at this time either; but that is the only way the vet said to be sure. This wouldn't be an issue but we were supposed to go on a business trip at the end of June. I don't mind staying home if she is pregnant. I was just hoping to have some signs telling us that she was. She doesn't seem to be showing and her vulva seems to have gone down in swelling. Thanks for your help, Amanda
