Beware FarmersYorkies.Com of Anderson, MO Hey All - Just wanted to share a negative experience with FarmersYorkies.com. I had written expressing interest in several of their puppies and asked for pictures of their parents. They wrote back saying adult weights are already posted on the website and the parents have nothing to do with what the puppies will look like once grown. They then asked me if I looked like my parents or my brothers and sisters and whatever I had read was wrong! In addition they only accept Western Union and Money Orders so I would be wary!

Sounds like to me they told you the truth. You can't judge a puppy by the parents and by looking at their website they do list estimated weights. I also seen several payment options on the website including PayPal, cashiers checks and so on. I never did understand the whole seeing the parents thing except to make sure the puppies come from healthy parents but I for one don't look like my parents..Thank God!

And a lot of brothers and sisters look the same. Look at the Kennedys... And LOTS of puppies do in fact look a lot like their parents. Cute puppies are just that...cute puppies.. I have always wanted to see the parents. They may not end up looking like that, but it gives you an idea. And its always important for me to see that they are healthy. Like the other poster said. What size I like etc.. So I'm like you...dont just stay away....run

I would be very wary of anyone who seemed sketchy or defensive when you ask questions about the parents. Also, I don't think I would ever buy a dog without being able to see them and put hands on them. A breeder should be confident in their breeding stock and more than happy that you are interested in the lines the pups come from. Dogs are not always a spitting image of the dam and sire, but the parents (and other dogs along the line) have EVERYTHING to do with what you can expect from the dog as an adult.

When people ask me questions I try to answer them the best I can. All my parents are here and I know what type of puppies my dogs are throwing. I also refer people to my website to see their pictures and pedigrees. THEN if they want more pictures of the parents I am more than happy to do it as quickly as I can. I also believe you can tell a whole lot what the puppy will look like and what size they MIGHT be by looking at the parents but one thing I have learned is that little guys will make liars out of us sometimes.

Reply to Farmers negatvies I just want to reply about the negative experience some people say they have had with Farmers Yorkies. I purchased my precious little girl from them in October. She is a delight. We have never had any pronblems with her or the Farmers. They were wonderful to work with and I would recommend them to any of my friends. Altho we did not ask for pictures of Bizzy's parents, we do have their names and I am sure Farmers would send us pictures if we asked. All puppies do not necessarily resemble their parents when full grown. The most important thing to me is the health of the puppy and my vet was extremely pleased. She was flown from Missouri to Washington state and showed no signs of stress at all. She was and is a perfectly healthy and happy little girl. Course potty training her has been a bit of a negative experience! Thanks

But, it helps to see what the parents look like.. hair texture, body type, ear set, facial features..etc. I would never buy a dog without being able to see the parents and it is better if you can see them in person and be able to put your hand on the dogs. | |

Western Union They also take Paypal, Cashiers Check, etc. I don't know anything about the business, but I can tell you that they take other forms of payment besides Western Union. Call her on the phone if you have any questions. I'm a newbie, but she seems very legit.

I understand you're heartfelt desire is to have a yorkie puppy....but, be careful. It's also against YT rules to advertise puppies less than 10 weeks of age.
