My girl's temp on Monday (day 63) at noon was 98.7. We waited and waited..Around 4:50 AM tuesday morning she began to dig in her whelping box and I just knew it was almost time!!! And then nothing! She then began to slightly pant around 11:00 AM Tuesday, so then I was sure this was it! Again, nothing!!! Her temp last night was 98.6, and this morning was 97.8! I'm at the nervous just waiting stage, but was wondering if anyone else's girl had such a low temp, or long labor?? Ive never experienced one of my girls keeping such a low temp for such an extended period of time. I've got a vet appointment scheduled for tomorrow morning just in case. I'm hoping it won't be needed but better safe then sorry! I'm hoping that I am just over anxious (again!) waiting for my 5 new babies to arrive!

Hey - join us in Breeder Talk "May Puppies". She can probably go a couple more days and I think the temps OK. I bet you don't need that appointment.

Thanks for the warm wishes! Tiramisu, I just joined the May Puppies forum. I'm don't think the vet appointment will be necessary either, but scheduled it just in case! I'm hoping by that time tomorrow we will be happily nursing our 5 healthy babies!

Still nothing with my girl Jinger.....she is just laying around with her big belly ready to pop! waiting waiting waiting and waiting some more!

I am in Huntington Township
The closest big city is Mansfield
Hopefully she doesnt make the vets visit.
You going to have enough vet visits AFTER puppies born..lol

LOL Oh I KNOW it!! I'm hoping it won't be necessary - I'm still hoping to leave the room and come back in to POOF* Jinger in her box nursing her 5 healthy puppies!
