| Post partum exam How many take mom's and pups in for a quick post partum exam? I make it a habit to call my vet as soon as possible after the delivery and take them for a quick post partum checkup. Even when I feel 100% certain that all is well, I still want my vet to give me a professional evaluation on mom and babies. I know it is an extra expense, but I feel it is an important part of health care for mom's and babies. My vets are wonderful and as soon as I walk in the door I am taken right back to a room so that I don't have to wait in a more "germy" waiting area. |

| I take mine for the oxy shot and a checkup! If my vet's closed, I find another one. I think it's very important.

| vet I think it is important, if a breeder does not have the experince to be sure all is well..and what I mean is.. palpitate the uterus to make sure all the pups and placenta's are delivered..then give an oxyie shot of the correct amount to prevent problems..then a daily temp for a week and watch for other symptoms of problems... |
