| How can you tell? The reason I ask this. I always talk on the phone...many times...Exchanging Emails and pics as they grow. I see all the future owners of my babies in my home. If you've gotten to the point I ask you to my home. I feel pretty good about you being a new owner of one of my babies. I wont even return phone calls and Emails to a large percent I talk to Well, I went thru the whole thing. This lady drove hours to my home. When she seen this little guy. She wasn't even excited....I've never had anyone I felt rushed thru a visit like this lady. She wanted to just pay me for him and leave. Against my better judgment. I let her take this puppy Even as she was leaving I felt like running after her and saying heres your money .. Now give me my baby back. But my so called husband said Debbi you cant do that. She drove all this way. I think she was a broker... What are some of the signs? How can I know this next time..should something like this happen again? Some can put on such a good show.

| Your really never know for sure. I have had some that seemed a little rushed but it was because they had to get back before the kids got out of school or something like that. Perhaps the lady had to get back home by a certain time or wanted to get home before dark. Some people just don't show the excitement as much as others but I know how you feel. My husband always fuses at me because I talk to the puppy buyers a long time and I keep going over things and telling them things. I guess it is just a motherly thing. Did this lady seem knowledgeable about puppies? I am sure the puppy will be fine. |

| That is a good question and I'd like to see what others has to say about it too...I've never had anyone rushed about getting one of our puppies and everyone was so excited...Why don't U try calling her to just kinda act like U want to make sure he is adjusting well and everything is okay...I don't think that would hurt, maybe it would ease U're mind?? | broker I ask to speak to the vet who has/had cared for the buyers previous dogs..I can not remember the last time I placed with a first time Yorkie owner..and this is one very good season to keep the prices so high a broker would look elsewhere..they are not going to make any profit on my puppies. |

| on my last litter I had a lady call me while I was at work, we dicussed the only puppy I had left and she said she would take him without even seeing him. I told her what time I would be home from work and she said she couldnt wait that long and wanted to know if I left my doors unlocked and could she just go into my house and get him and leave the money there, I told her no way, if she wanted to come after I got home I would be happy to let her see him. Well she did come and she did take him home and I have talked to her several times and he is in a good home. I just thought it was odd that she thought I would just let anyone into my home to take one of my babies. She works for Fed Ex and lives alittle over an hour away and she was just in a hurry to get hhim home, but I know she loves him. Now thats what you call a rushed buyer.

I never even thought of it. But I just could never ask for their vets number I have sold a couple to people who not only never had a Yorkie BUT who've never had a dog before PERIOD. These couple have ended up being the best Mommies of all They have more vet care and pampering and grooming then any of the others. We all have to get our first Yorkie.... This little guy was not cheap. Yes I'm sure she could have made more off him. But once you take off her gas and driving time...she sure couldnt make much. Is there a broker list somewhere? Like the suspended AKC breeders?

| I don't think you'll find a list of brokers anywhere. I used to be friends with a woman who would take any animal she found that was free or extremely cheap, she would keep it for a few days and than resell it for a big profit. Notice I said...used to be friends with. The woman who first bought the sibling to my girls was like the woman you mentioned. She was all excited about getting her but she didn't want any contact with the breeder, or me for sibling playdates, after she got her puppy. She actually got very short with the breeder when she called to see if everything was going o.k. or if there were any areas she needed help with. Well, about 2 months later she wanted to return the puppy and that's how I got my Molly. Hang in there...I'm hoping everything is fine...maybe you'll hear something soon. |

BANNED! | It's very difficult to say if anyone you sell one of your puppies to is a broker or not. I do ask to speak to 3 references and also their past vets office (and I do call them). I also have a pretty extensive puppy adoption questionaire. Sometimes people are more rushed them others and I find that some people just don't get as excited as I would. The best thing I can say to offer advice is "If you don't get a good feeling about a buyer then don't let them have one of your babies". You have to trust your intuition! I do stay in contact with my babies new families, but I try not to bug them. I have been very lucky and for the most part we stay in contact over the phone, emails, or visits. I do love to see them grow up and get new pictures. |

| Debbi, I can see now why you are concerned. I was thinking this was a pup you just recently sold. It does sound suspicious, I would worry that something happened to the puppy that was her fault and she was to afraid to tell you. You might just write her a letter and see if you get any response. Other than that you have tried your best to keep in touch. |

I just got pics of Macy in 3 differnet fancy little care bed...I had to laugh this little girl is soooo spoiled. Again...I am just being honest. I could never ask someone for their vets number....NEVER I am very very picky about who my babies go to. To the point of if they ask "how TINY will they be" I dont even get back to them, I dont do "tinies" and if THATs their first question, Go elsewhere. Im sure that I am so OCD about it that for every 20 people I get wanting one. Maybe ONE of those get one. And will you also not sell to someone whos never had a Yorkie? Im sorry...But I look for the BEST homes for my babies. And having a Yorkie before , doesnt mean you are the best home... But thats just me.

| Have you tried searching for her name using Google? You could put in her name and the city she lives in and see if anything comes up. If she is a broker you might find something. |
