How early? I was wondering what is the earliest anyone has ever seen their baby start showing. The reason I am asking is Fancy is 16 days and I am already seeing changes in her. Noone else probably would be because they aren't use to seeing her. But, me being her mommy I have seen changes in her belly and she looks like she is putting on a little weight.

As far as "looking" pregnant, mine don't look it until they are about three weeks from whelping but, like you, I see other changes sometimes as early as two to three weeks after mating..

Donating YT 14K Club Member | Like Dee said...I notice definite changes in tummy around 5-6 weeks...but closer to 6 weeks. Now, I've known of a false pregnancy that showed up in the first couple of weeks after tie. Also, they may start to show early if it's their first pregnancy.

Depends on the dog. My mentor has one girl that started showing when she was only a few weeks along. But on the other hand, like with Mikayla, some don't show until they're in their last couple of weeks. I doubt Fancy is "showing" quite yet...but she may be acting different. Of course, you know her better than we do.

Usually I don't think I even see the tummy bigger at ALL until then. The first thing that usually happens is the sides get thicker and they feel a little more "solid" around 5 weeks or so. Then about 6 you start to see the tummy. It usually just happens out of nowhere too...

That is definitely possible that she's eating more...around 2 weeks in mine start to eat like piggies and some get morning sickness. The first pregnancy I ever saw I did the same thing...I kept wishing for it to be there, so I think I imagined it waaayyy too early... Be patient, it will come.

Do U have scales? I weighed mine all the way through her pregancy with our last litter. I had to get digital baby scales for Tiffanie as by day 50 she was 12 lbs. 6 oz. and our postal scales only go to 10 lbs. I know they are pretty right for my Granddaugter went to her Dr. and her mommy brought her back over here right after being at the Dr. and her weight was the exact same as her Dr.s weight. U can go to our website and view her pregnant belly there, with her last litter of babies. She had 6 with our last litter. I use our digital baby scales for all our Yorkies now as they are to long for the postal scales. On her 1st litter I couldn't even tell she was pregnant until around a couple weeks before her whelping, she had 4 babies then and I only knew it by being able to feel her babies moving.

Yeah she was our Teapot Yorkie lol. Needless to say I sure couldn't carry her around in my purse. Her normal weight was around 10 lbs. The day before she whelped she weighed 13 lbs. 10 oz. The day after whelping she weighed 10 lbs. 5.5 oz. After being spayed she went back up to around 13 lbs. so we put her on a diet then. The end of January she weighed 11 lbs. 5.0 oz. right before going to her new adopted parents. She is getting on the heavy side now as her new daddy is giving her too many treats, her new mommy said he has to slow down on the treats lol. (they are my cousins and we talk all the time and she keeps me updated on Tif) She was big but beautiful!
