Thanks for the support Bubbles and I do appreciate it. We had spent 4 hrs at the vets that day trying to make the decision. All that knows Bubbles would understand the dilema as she is a mommies baby period. I am just glad we had her blankie in the car not her fav toy but we did run out and get one.

Normally I never pay attention to comments but I was shocked that anyone would have a negative comment to make when one takes care of their babies. Only a puppy mill mentality would not go to the vet and to us that was the option and money was not even an issue.

This is not a good picture just a quicky. She is being really weird will only have the babies in my recliner and in my lap. I tried to keep her in a crate while we had to run out yesterday but she was not having anything to do with that period. So we improvised ...

3: My husband just had a diagonosis and was having scans to get into the Oncologist and hmmm he has an aneurysm of the descending aorta just diagonosed so had that Dr as well. Also had 1 other medical er to deal. As many know I am not able to drive!
4: She would have been alone all day and had she needed help she would have suffered needlessly for hrs until we would be able to rush her to the vet.

I never in my wildest dreams thought I would be harrassed over giving my dogs medical attention and we when picked her up she was very happy and trust me you know when Bubbles is happy. She had the attention of the whole clinic and she DID NOT HAVE HER BABIES ALONE NOR DID SHE SUFFER! that was the whole point of leaving her in a vets care!

Now with that said ... how many of you would have done the same thing ? She was due just anytime and did have them early yesterday morn under watrchful eyes and he said she did fine by herself.

Personally I feel I did what was best for her since he feared the pups were going to be to big for her to deliver.
You did not leave har in the ally you left her at the vet in good hands its nobodys biz.

That is an absolutely precious picture of Bubbles and her babies.

Please take care of yourself & hubby and Bubbles and her little ones and ignore the people that have no clue.

You did the exact right thing for your baby! I'd have done the same thing, and I'd venture to guess so would any caring person.

Patty,
You are ALWAYS so sweet, kind and compassionate. Thank You!

To the OP, I hope that you and your husband are on the mend and that the puppies and Mama are doing well.

I didn't see anything about it either. I'm afraid it might have been on another forum too. Sad!

Sorry it was on another forum. I was told it was here as well and that was my mistake.

For those that asked in PMs Bubbles is 6lbs and daddy is 5. Even though Bubbles had no trouble in the end I will not chance this again for her. She will be spayed and be the baby of our Pastor's daughter who has loved her since she was born

Default Me Too

I work a full time job and when my females are due to deliver, I always take them to my Vets he charged me $6.00 per day to do "puppy watch". so far only 1 has delivered at the Vets but at least I have peace of mind while I'm at work. so I agree that you did what was best for your girl. good luck with the puppies and I hope you and your husband get well soon.
