| Need to know if I was told wrong! The lady I bought my Yorkie's from told me they would be 4 to 5 pounds. At nine weeks they were 2.7 and 2.8 pounds the parents are 6.5 and 4 pounds. I thought maybe a breeder would have the answer.

| A general rule of thumb is to triple their 8 week weight and double their 12 week weight...that will give you an estimate of their adult weight but no one knows for sure until they stop growing. |

| They are both two cute, I see you have your hands full to. My breeder told me the same thing. I have 8 wk and a 12wk old. My 12wk old is 2.5 he has been this size for about a month. He may go up and down by a few ounces but he has been around this weight. I was worried for a little bit, but he does eat. This is a good question because I am wondering also. |

| At nine weeks they really should be home with their mommy still. That being said they really are too young to estimate their adult weight. The 8 week calculation is rarely even close, the 12 week calculation is usually more on the mark. It really depends on the line that they are from, some lines are big babies and end their growth early, some continue to grow until they are close to 18 months old.

| I agree with Tami. It really depends on their lines. I've had some that didn't gain more than 1/2 a lb. past 12 weeks. You just have to know the lines and hopefully the breeder that you got them from does.
