| Questiions Angel had a pup on Sunday, I want to get her spayed? How soon can this be done? I will be taking the puppy in tomorrow to dock tail, do the dew claws at the same time? If the puppy weighed 7 ounces at birth how can you tell how much he will weigh as an adult. If you have something negative to say please do not answer the question, More information the mom is a teapot 11 pounds, and the sire is 5 pounds and this is their first and last litter. If that helps telling how much Amour will weigh Thanks

| Pups Congrats on the new baby. The vet will do the dew claws the same time they dock the tail. As far as spaying goes, my vet says to wait until mom's milk is dried up. Pam |

| The vet will do the tails and dewclaws at the same time. Size is really impossible to determine at this age. Just because the puppy was 7 oz. does not necessarily mean the puppy will be big. You have to consider the size of the parents and grandparents. Many years ago I had a 12 lb female (Angel) that was out of small parents. I bred her several times to my 4 lb male and most all of her pups were always under 5 lbs. She always had beautiful babies. Like the others said, just wait until the puppy is weaned and the momma has recovered some before you get her spayed. The momma won't come in heat for at least another 4 months so when the puppy is 12 weeks old you might want to do it then. How is that little baby doing? I hope all goes well at the vets. |
