| Be honest... ...ok so I've really been thinking about changing my kennel name after some recent new knowledge has come to light and some comments that have been made. I'm of course looking for something more original this time, Tiny Treasures is just the name I've used in the past for my retail sales and then carried over to the breeding. I've been told to use something that MEANS something to you, and I really like the idea of naming it after my first yorkie, which is Maddie. Her full name is Madeline Louise, and one of the nicknames I call her is pronounced "Mad-uh-loo". Silly I know... Anyways, I was throwing around these four names, but they may be totally dumb... Madalou's Magnificent Yorkshire Terriers (or Yorkies) Madalou's Yorkies Madalou's Majestic Yorkshire Terriers Princess Madalou's " " Then registered names would just have the prefix "Madalou's"... Are these completely ridiculous? Last edited by EmrldShdwQueen; 02-13-2008 at 01:51 PM. |

| They are all nice, remember the extra fee for spaces with AKC if you have a big kennel name chances are you will need to have those extra spaces with your names. Prestigeous is 11 and I have people tell me thats too long but I love it and it works for me LOL Deana Prestigeous Yorkies |

Donating YT 500 Club Member | Just a thought, as Emerald is part of your user name here, and if it has significance to you, why not incorporate that into your kennel name. And, Deana I've always liked your name Prestigeous.

| There is already a Majestic Yorkies so that may get confusing with their kennel name. I think you could do just the Madalou's Yorkies and not have any problem with other kennel names Deana Prestigeous |

How could I incorporate that into it? Maybe Madalou's Emerald Yorkies? Or were you just saying Emerald Yorkies? | |

| name Nothing wrong with picking one word...then you can add as fancy a name as you please.. List words you are thinking of using and I know among all of us we can tell you if it is already used..I like Emerald, Emerald-Eyes, but there are so many... | Although Madalou's very unique, it might be hard to remember . . Emerald seems easier . . just keep it in mind when trying to come up with a name |

| Maybe Emerald M Yorkies. But I think you may want to stray away from Emerald if there is another kennel with that name. Isn't that why you wanted to change it in the first place? I like the idea of using Madalou. Yes, it is hard to remember, but I can remember where I got my pups from, and they had weird names. Car-Mir-Jac is where I got Tina, and I can still remember it. IMO, unique is best!

| You know, actually, I think I remember things better when they're unique. I tend to forget the common names for some reason...go figure... |
