| Diarrhea medicine while pregnant?? Is is safe to give Brooklyn some Immodium? She's almost 4 weeks pregnant and she is having diarrhea and loose stool. It seems uncontrollable. She also has horrible morning sickness. I'm assuming the diarrhea is due to her pregnancy, because she has had no changes in diet and all of my girls are kept together, and none of the others have anything abnormal. If it IS safe to give her the Immodium, I misplaced my chart, and I wondered if anyone knew off the top of their head the dosage for that by lbs. If it's NOT safe to give her the Immodium, can I give her pepto instead? |

| I'm not sure about the products you mentioned, but I suggest trying canned pumpkin. I've used it before for diarrhea and it worked very well

| I would also give pumpkin, but one would wonder why she has diarrhea that bad. I personally would have to have a stool sample done.

| Well the diarrhea isn't THAT bad...I know she doesn't have any parasites, I just recently did stool samples on all of mine and wormed everybody. I'm going to try the pumpkin. Her appetite isn't that great either, so I'm going to boil her some chicken and rice tomorrow if she's still having problems. I called the vet and he said it's most likely due to the pregnancy and not to worry at this point. He said he's seen it lots of times... |
