| Has anyone heard of this breeder?/ This is Riley's breeder, but I've never talked to anyone else who has got a pup from her. Just wondering what everyone's views are on her. Here is her site. http://www.coalcreek-kennel.com/ Another reason I'm posting this is because when I start looking for another Yorkie, I may go with her again. |

| JMO... But I think you need to look further. In addition some of those puppies seem to have health issues. Last edited by diva pup; 01-18-2008 at 03:37 PM. |

| I'm glad you had a good experience with her the first time but her website definitely contains some red flags. First she gives full registration with all of her puppies. That means that she doesn't care if the pup is a good representation of it's breed, if it's free of genetic defects, if you have any idea how to breed or what a yorkie that conforms to the standard should look like. When the pup is born the decision is made that it is free to be bred. To me that is very irresponsible as some pups should not be bred and should just get to be pets. We as humans have the responsiblity of deciding what is best for the continuation of the breed and that takes alot of study. She refers to teacups, a person peeve as I don't think we should be trying to make yorkies into chihuahuas with coat. No where does she mention that her 8 week old darlings can't leave home until they are 12 weeks old. I'd do a bit of comparison shopping and check out YTCA's guidelines. You're bound to find you a winner.

She didn't even send me Riley's shot records. She just wrote on a piece of paper his vaccinations. She told me that the vet vaccinated him and I found out today that she gave him the shots herself, which included a rabies shot at 12 weeks. GAH! Now that I think about all these, shes a terrible breeder. I doubt I'll go with her again. I'm glad I've learned alot since I got Riley. | |

| Look at the puppies...The little fawn pug is very sickly looking, just compare his littermates. And those poor "dachsund" pups I am by no means a dachsund expert (these look more like Bassett mixes) but aside from that, the pups eyes are very unhealthy looking and they are EXTREMELY thin for their age (note the portruding breast bone on the 2nd pup ) Puppies at that age should be chubby and HAPPY not scared and sickly looking, just look at all those sad little eyes I am glad your first baby is happy and healthy but I sure wouldn't chance it again. JMHO P.S. I THINK YorkieRose is knowledgable about dachsunds( sp?) maybe she will see this, I am quite curious as to what she thinks. |

| How do you know if its drying to download a Trojan??? I don't think its ever done that with me. Well I refuse to go back to the site to find out. Lol. Now about her breeding, is there anything I can do? Since her pups look unhealthy and shes already gotten in trouble once for her environment. Oh no!! Look at this picture... Ughhh I don't think I could ever put an animal in a cage like that. :-( http://www.coalcreek-kennel.com/imag...APoomom004.jpg Last edited by spruitt7; 01-19-2008 at 11:52 AM. |

| I think it is great that you want to add to your family...but I agree with everyone else, keep looking. It sounds like you already had your reservations about her...listen to your gut!

Your security program will tell you. Mine alerted me the second I clicked on the site. I hope that it hasn't already happened to your computer, not sure how you find out now. Maybe someone else here will know. Good luck finding a better breeder!
