| Xray? Brooklyn is definitely pregnant...yay! She's already showing! I just got off the phone with my vet who said that he can't do an xray until around 45 days along or so. Does that sounds accurate to you? He said something about the bones not being calcified until then? |

| I usually dont have an x-ray done until about 5 days before the due date. that way the vet can measure the skulls to see if the bitch can deliver them normally. Why pay for an x-ray at 45 days and again at 57 days? |

| Most breeders wait but your vet is correct. Xrays can't be done before 45 days. Ultrasound could be though.

| I would just do an xray. Ultrasound would come in handy if you wanted an answer earlier.

| Ultrasound if fine for the impatient which has included me. But if you're sure she's pregnant....An xray would do for count and size. Though it wouldn't do any good until at least the 45th day. |

My Tiny Treasures Donating Member | I get my xrays at day 55 to 58. What day is your girl on now ? My vet did a xray AND a FREE ultrasound just cuz he was curious to see the babies inside He was curious too! It was amazing to see those heartbeats inside mama's belly! |
