| Simple Questions First Question: How old should a female be before she has her first litter, and should you wait for her second heat cycle? Second Question: After her first litter, how long should you wait before she has her second litter. |

Donating Senior Yorkie Talker | good questions Someone on the forum said that waiting the 4 years I did might have been too long. I was always told to wait until after the 1st or 2nd heat anyway. If all goes well with Porsche, due @Jan 14 I might be interested in breeding her again. I don't know how long too wait either. However, I would think breeding her once every year or two would be fine.

As far as being bred the second time, there are alot of factors that influence that as well. Some will breed 2 cycles and rest one, some rest every cycle in between. Alot will depend on how the first whelp/litter went overall. | |
