Melanie is a very nice person located in central Indiana. She has dogs that are from very nice stock. She has been into YT for about three/four years. She has a male that she is presently showing at this time owner handled- We seem to be at the same shows- I also have a male that is being shown in the same class as her fella. She is a sincere person who cares deeply about the breed. No I do not have any of her stock and no I have not used any of her males for breeding. This is not a paid endorsement. The above is just what I have observed. We compete against each other in the show ring. Wnalegria

Glad you saw the humor. I am not always the mean old school teacher- I was told that I sound like a nun from a catholic school in my treads. COOL. Hope that this did help you- but that is all that I could say in all fairness without shooting myself in the foot. I have spoken to her on the phone once and several times on the internet. I had contacted her because she lives close and has a bloodline that I used to have many years ago and wanted to reintroduce it to my lines. No this is not a weight loss advertisement. Wonder how much they get paid for those? Wnalegria

| We had that number from an earlier post and her profile, but it is no longer in service. I also can't find any web site for Shadyhills Yorkshire Terriers, no email, nothing. Anyone else know how to contact Melanie Hamilton? |

| I purchased a yorkie from Melanie Hamilton of ShadyHill Yorkies in 2011. Hisname was Rudy and he was the love of my life. I had him for 2.5 years untilthis October when he suddenly fell VERY ill. I took him to the vet and he wasrushed to an Emergency center and diagnosed with a probable fatal liver shunt. He underwent 2 operations and almost a week in intensive care and hospital andafter over $10,000 and lots of tears, I lost him. It killed me and even thoughI did everything that I thought would save my best friend I lost him and havethis overwhelming medical debts now to deal with. I contacted Melanie and informed her as to what happened. She felt awful andtold me that she would replace the puppy for all that I had been through. Shetold me her next litter was due around Thanksgiving. Now she will not returnany of my calls or emails. I guess my question is what I can do. She wrote tome in an email and promised me another puppy. Does this hold up in court as acontract? Is there any recourse that I can take? The original contract onlyguaranteed the puppy up to one year, however she offered me a new puppy in anemail. This isn't right. I have had my hopes up and now am crushed again. Any advice would be appreciated. |
