Marking? Hello! I would like to ask the breeders who has both sex yorkshire if the males marking in your apartments and how you solve this problem. Is this possible to cure them? Does they mark only when the bitches are in session? I am thinking about buying a new male so I would be very thankful if somebody can tell me more about this.

| My male marks worse when a gal is in heat but they will mark at anytime. Connor wears a belly band with a pad when the gals are in heat. The marking, the fussingthe restlessness, it's all a part of having an intact male.

Belly bands .They just cant help themselves from doing it,bellybands will not stop him from marking though.I use poise pads in them they dont seem to smell as much like urine when I take them off. I have 3 males and teeny weeny one who is the biggest leg hiker machine you have ever seen.A 7 pound male who might try to hike a leg when the girls are in heat otherwise never does, and a neuterd 15 pound teacup who never has.Only one of them wears a belly band everyday.

pads Yes..use a pad in the belly band and change it several times a day..I used Baby Powder on the belly area first..and a dab of any good diaper rash cream prevents problems...

Thank you very much for your replays. So is this mean it is really not posible to cure them from doing this in the house? Do the most of them marking only when the bitch is in session or all the time?

stud All stud dogs I have owned or known, mark whether the bitch is in season or not...there is no cure for an intact male, only prevention, save your sanity and home trying to train one and use belly bands.
