I never look at puppies on sites like these because it makes me so upset.
The poor little guy looks sick, look at those sad eyes.

Default SOMEONE TELL ME NOT TO DO IT!!!!! <please>

Ugh.... I am just heartsick over this little guy.... he has such sadness in his eyes...

I never should have looked at this post....

A part of me wants to just pass him by, in hopes that "someone else" will stand up for him and take on what is sure to be a multitude of health problems - and maybe even an extremely shortened lifespan due to his "blue born" genetic problems - or possibly facing a reality of euthanasia if he develops the VERY PAINFUL "elephant skin" condition - not to mention possible temperament issues (which is the least of concerns, but a concern, still... with children and other furbutts in the house) if he has indeed spent the past 16 weeks of his life in a puppy mill environment....

And let's not even THINK about the financial strain it's been with the unexpected expense of the furfaces I ALREADY have comitted myself to caring for.... and knowing that this little guy will undoubtedly bring with him an even bigger financial burden (which I am really not in the position of funding alone)....

But then there's that "other" part.... that BIGGER part of me... that wants to bring this amazingly beautiful (to me, he is) little baby boy home where we can hold him close and care for him.... and fight our hardest to assure that he never wants for anything again! That he never has to endure a single lonely moment... never needs to feel threatened or unsafe... and learns the love of a family (both fur and skin) of his very own!!

True, I don't NEED another animal in the house... in fact, I already have what city ordinance will allow... but (I know, all these "but's"!!) Even if we were to bring little Jerry (he SO needs a new name!) home long enough to place him in a breed specific rescue if need be... or with another family.... it would HAVE to be better than being the "poster child" of ill health on puppyfind.com!!

I haven't even held him, but this special little creature holds my heart already!!! Ugh!!!

Talk quick, people..... I've already contacted his "mom".....

Default pup

His color is the reason he is hairless on his saddle...and he is a good example of what can happen to many born-blue..they shoulf never be sold, but place in lieu of vet care if needed..not all are sickly, but many have numerous issues through the years. They should be S/N and the breeding should nto be repeated..use another stud...if it happened again to me, I would spay the bitch...why ask for potential problems...

Another member is seriously thinking about taking him. I don't know what's wrong with him, but I hope she can give him a good home.

Is it deadly?

I've never heard of "blue born" before.

The pup looks like it has Color dilution alopecia. It doesn't look like a true blue born to me. Blue borns are usually all blue/grey, without gold/tan legs.

This pup will probably always be bald where the black/blue saddle is and have hair where the gold would be. It could also have other problems but not necessarily connected to the CDA.

He certainly looks like he needs some major TLC.

That was the first thing I noticed about him too...his back legs laying the way they are. That is not normal. His condition whatever it is, looks very sad, and I feel so sorry for him. Shame on that woman

I too noticed this...in the last pic, his right leg is also outstretched, not normal at all. I don't think this little guy can walk, he looks so sad, he definitely had other medical issues beside being blue-born.

Dena, Dena, Dena....
He is a sweet baby that does need a loving home. I wonder too if he can stand. All pics are of him lying down. ????? If you get more pics from her post them so we can see other pics. I don't know what is or isn't wrong with him but he definately needs to be loved while he is able to be with us.

walk away.... just walk away...

this pup appears to have back leg deformities in all the pictures. i looked at the last pic first and i thought he was missing a leg, then i noticed it and thought it was in the wrong spot.

the person selling this dog should be ashamed. She should keep him and not dump him on someone who thinks he's cute and feels bad. this pup may only be $350 (which is way to much) but he will cost thousands in medical bills. The hair loss can be caused by many many things. he could be blue born, have mange (a few different types), have thyroid issues, a blood disorder, and only god knows what else. If something is wrong on the outside, a lot of the time you will find something wrong on the inside.

This past week a blue german shepard came into the hospital because it had extra "parts" in her chest cavity. We had to do major thoracic surgery on a 17 week old puppy. The owners didn't want us to investigate further so who knows what else is wrong with this puppy. For all we know she could have an extra liver or an absence other another organ. just not good....
