| Question about number of puppies On my Brooklyn's third heat she had her first litter...she had 6 puppies...5 girls and 1 boy. She is now 2 1/2 years old...and I am breeding her on her next heat with the same male. Since the bitch determines the litter size, how likely is it that she'll have that number of puppies (or close to it) again? |

| litter These things are not possible to determine..she is older and some have fewer as they age, but she could do the same or more/less...it is all a complete gamble.. |

| Maggie always had litters of 2. Sunshine's had 2 twice. Sunshine's sister has had 5 every time & Sunshine's mother has had 6-7 every time.

| Frankie and Kandy each have had five each time. This last litter, kandy's, the vet said the ultrasound showed only three and i kept saying but she always has five. they explained to me that as she ages, the litter gets smaller. Well, guess what? Lo and behold, she had five just like always. My beautiful Silk always had two. Little Fart came from a litter of two and she had two. My husband always says, however many is in their litter is how many they will have and so far, it's been true with my girls. |
