| My Yorkie ate her puppies!! We are freaked out, we have a beautiful Yorkie that is 3 years old and this is her second litter.. the strange things is she loves her puppies and has been a wonderful Mother.. until this weekend when she eat her two female puppies. She had four puppies, 2 female and 2 males.. has anyone every heard of such a thing? Our vet was shocked, nobody would have thought she would have done it.. she was eating Science Diet for nursing Mothers, and taking calcuim tablets daily. Any thoughts?? Please help.. |

| I am so sorry! How awful! Are you keeping an eye on her to make sure the remaining pups are safe?? I knew cats did this, but it's got to be pretty rare with dogs. Had they been checked out by the vet? Maybe there was something not right with them. In any case that is just SO sad. I am so sorry!

Living My Yorkie Dream Donating Member | OMG, that is something new learned for me...never heard of such a thing! That must have been an awful sight to find. I am so sorry for the loss and hope things continue to do well with the others. It does sound logical that maybe something was not quite right with the two she ate. (oh, it's awful even just to type it )
