So tonight we went on our usual walk with the babies, only tonight was a little different..
To put it mildly, when we got home...it was a total NIGHTMARE. When we walked in the door, I had Tatum in my arms because she was tired from walking so I picked her up and held her right before we go back to the house. Well, before putting her down so that she could get a drink of water, I noticed that she had GOBS...and I do mean
GOBS of sticker burs ALL through her hair. Let me tell you, I nearly died when I saw this.
Mind you, Tatum is in a FULL "show coat" now (and by saying that I am just describing the length of her hair) - so you can just imagine how fun it was going to be for me to get all of these things out
So then hubby looks at Stedman and guess what....yep! He has them too. FUN!

At this point, I pretty much just want to cry.
So hubby takes Stedman and I take Tatum and we proceed to the couch so that we can sit down with them in our laps and work at getting all of this CRAP out of their hair!! Yeah....it only took us about an hour. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!
I counted exactly 150 sticker burs in total, not to mention all of the little twigs and pieces of grass that we pulled off of them also. We picked each and every single sticker bur out with our fingers except for one that was so stuck in all of Tatum's hair by one of her paws that I literally had to cut it out with a pair of scissors.
THIS WAS A NIGHTMARE!
I don't know where on earth we are going to walk them now because I have NO idea which yard all this stuff came from and...LOL...I can
PROMISE you that I won't be doing this again
Here are pictures of what came out of the babies hair. If you can just *imagine* picking each and every single one of these out of a Yorkie that has show dog length hair....well, to put it mildly, IT SUCKS!!!
Tatum was very cooperative (as she always is) and just stood there and let me do it but they were still NOT easy AT ALL to get out. Hubby had a TIME with Stedman as he is always soo squirmy and didn't want hubby messing with him trying to get all the burs out.
OMG! Sigh...what a night.
