I think Tinkerbell is showing her maternal side. I had a friend while growing up that had a small mixed dog. She raised alot of young kittens, rabbits, and tied to raise a baby chick but could not understand that they don't nurse. It was so cute watching her put the chick in the nest and lie next to it, but it kept hopping out.
