Animal Smiley 049 He doesn't care for treats--

He doesn't really respond to food when I am trying to train and motivate him. He will take it and then let it fall to the floor or just ignore it all together. I am working on training him and we have our first kindergarten class tonight and it would really help if he cared more about treats. He loves loves loves kisses and that is how I have been "rewarding" him when he doesn't take the treat. But I can't be giving him kisses as a lure for the exercises we are going to be doing in kindergarten.

Is this normal for some dogs to not care too much for food? Or is it that I just don't have the treats he likes? We have tried little bones, soft training treats, and a different kind of dry dog food that he doesn't get for regular meals.

He eats his food well. So I am not worried about him not eating at all, it is just treats when I am trying to reward him.
