Not a breeder, BUT... I've whelped A TON of litters for various breeders and I'm of the opinion that especially w/ small breeds (averaging about 2-5 pups) that once weaning begins, you'll need to get their fecal matter and urine cleaned up pretty quick, but otherwise the smell isn't overwhelming and the messes aren't that big!! No biggie imo. If it were a breed over say, 8 lbs. then yeah, I'd say don't do it for your husbands sake. |
