Moms must be over 5+ pounds. I like to use a smaller stud but if there is only 1 or 2 puppies even a 6 pound mom and 3 pound dad can throw some honkers that need c-sections.
Also, Pat will tell you that you really need to know what is behind both parents before using them to produce a litter....Of course, there is much more to breeding and I am sure you will learn a lot as you do your research.. |
